Credits 001-General Information ----------------------------------------------------------- This is a walkthrough for the Nintendo 3DS game called "Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy". It's a puzzle/mystery game containing a lot of brainteasers. It's the sixth game in the Professor Layton series, and it's the third game in a prequel trilogy. This will be the name that appears on your save file. 003a-Prologue ----------------------------------------------------------- Video #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW-SKQdyJig Professor Layton is with his two assistants, Emmy Altava and Luke Triton. They have been invited aboard the airship Bostonius, in order to visit Professor Sycamore. Professor Sycamore has discovered a living mummy. The airship's pilot, Raymond, introduces himself. He gives Professor Layton a puzzle, to confirm his identity. Puzzle #001: Airship's Destination ---------------------------------- Location: Bostonius Person: Raymond Summary: You need to more the airship to every spot on the map. There are three red fuel stations, which refill your fuel meter on the right. Solution: Go down three times, then right to refuel. Go up, right, up and left to refuel. Go up and right twice to refuel. Go down three times and left. --- The destination is Froenburg, a town which is covered in snow 003b-Chapter 1: Frozen in Time ----------------------------------------------------------- Video #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrT-FNgXOt8 Our heroes land, and we get a tutorial about examining things. You have to use the magnifying glass on the touchscreen to examine items. Move the magnifying glass over something, then tap to examine it. The magnifying glass turns orange, whenever it is over an item that can be examined. Try this out, by examining the airship's dashboard. Then, examine Raymond to talk with him. He lets you go outside. To move around in this game, you have to use the touchscreen. Try this out, by going to the Froenburg South Gate. Here, you want to examine the igloo to make Aldus appear. Talk to Aldus, and he tells you to find a box. Look around the screen, but you will be unable to find the box. Aldus then tells you about the zoom feature. When the magnifying glass turns blue, like it does on the igloo, you can zoom into that area. Zoom in on the igloo, then tap on the box to get a hint coin. You can find various hint coins in this game, by tapping on different items. Finding the hint coin opens a new location. Go there to get a tutorial on how to save the game. You save the game, by using the icon of Layton's trunk on the touchscreen. Inside Layton's trunk, you can also do things like watch episodes. Video #3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHQuQomN3Wo You are on Slippery Street. There are two puzzles here. One puzzle is activated by talking to Prima, and the other is activated by examining the streetlamp. Puzzle #002: A Glacial Gift --------------------------- Location: Slippery Street Person: Prima Summary: Five 150 ml cups of hot water can melt 30g of ice. There is a present, trapped inside a 2 kg block of ice. How many cups of hot water are needed to free the present? Solution: Zero. Ice can melt on its own, especially when a large fireplace is nearby. Puzzle #003: Lighten Up ----------------------- Location: Slippery Street Examine: Streetlamp Summary: You want to put the six streetlamps on the board, so every street is filled with the light. However, two lights of the same color cannot overlap. Solution: A yellow lamp goes in the lower/right corner. Another yellow lamp goes in the leftmost column, in the middle spot. The third yellow piece goes in the top row, in the rightmost column. None of the yellow beams should overlap. There are seven spots that are open. A pink lamp goes in the upper/left spot, leaving behind four open lamps. The second pink lamp goes in the upper/left spot, and the green lamp goes in the only remaining spot. --- When you solve Prima's puzzle, she tells you about the villains that have been seen in town. You can now go to a new location: the snow coach shop. Go there. Examine the chimney for a puzzle. Puzzle #004: Similar Snowflakes ------------------------------- Location: Snow Coach Shop Examine: Chimney Summary: Many snowflakes are falling on the top screen. Which snowflake does not appear? Solution: C. --- Talk to Harald to learn that Professor Sycamore is at the cave north of town. Video #4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwDeA6CgTfo Go north to find the ice cave where Professor Sycamore is working. Examine the ice to learn it is impenetrable. You'll need to figure out how to get inside. Look at the snowman here, then go back to town. Talk to Prima or Donna. Puzzle #005: Embroidery Enigma ------------------------------ Location: Snow Coach Shop Person: Prima or Donna Summary: Figure out the embroidery pattern, then put the four pieces on the board to complete the pattern. Solution: The pattern repeats itself, and each time, a new square is added to the pattern. The four tiles you need to place down are these: Snowflake mitten Tree snowman --- Prima and Donna tell you to talk to the person by the hot springs. Zoom in on the house on the right, to find this person. She talks about the snowman by the cave. Weird sounds have been heard from it, and it first appeared at the same time as Professor Sycamore and the ice wall. Layton says the group needs to find a snowman. Go to Slippery Street. Examine the snowman here, in order to take its mitten. Return to the cave and examine the snowman to place the mitten on it. When the snowman by the cave has two mittens, it will open up the ice wall, which is really a glass wall. Our heroes go inside. Video #5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv8OHBDWDbs Professor Sycamore is here. He shows the living mummy, which is a woman who is frozen in an ice block. The ice is about a million years old. In order to melt the ice, you must solve a puzzle. Puzzle #006: Frozen in Time --------------------------- Location: Ice Cave Examine: Woman in Ice Summary: You must tap on the purple circles to rotate them. Make it so the board is divided into twelve sections. Eleven of the sections have four squares; the final section is made up of one square (the middle square). Solution: Each section is denoted with a different letter. ABBCCDDDD ABBECCGGH AAFE GGHH FFFEEIIHJ KKKKIIJJJ --- A bearded villain appears and takes the girl, along with his henchmen (the villains you saw earlier). They escape on an airship. As you return to the Bostonius, one of the henchmen stalls you with a puzzle. Puzzle #007: Mutiny! -------------------- Location: Slippery Street Person: Robin Summary: You have a board with five squares and four pieces. When you jump over a piece, it changes color. Change all the pieces to the color white. Solution: Move the pieces in this order: 5, 2, 4, 1, 3, 5, and 1. --- There is one final puzzle you can solve in Froenburg, before you board the Bostonius. Puzzle #008: Reggie's Slidy Ride -------------------------------- Location: Froenborg South Gate Person: Harald Summary: You can move the turtles and the ice block around the screen. Can you get the red turtle in the middle square? Solution: Move the red turtle left, then move the top green turtle down. Move the ice block down, and move the big turtle right. Move the red turtle down. --- Video #6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp-H6d-FQ8A When you board the Bostonius, a cutscene plays. Professor Layton is given the challenge of shooting down enemy drones and missiles, according to the conditions. You want to shoot... The blue one The upper left one The two blue ones The bottom right one The bottom left one The ones marked with 24 and 32 The upper right one The three blue ones The ones marked with 25, 31 and 57 All of them, in this order: 57, 52, 31, 28 and 25 Once you finish the challenge, Layton and Luke board the enemy airship. Video #7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l5J5P11Wb8 Examine the door and solve the puzzle to gain access to another part of the airship. Puzzle #009: Dial Trial ----------------------- Location: Cargo Hold Examine: Door Summary: The door has symbols on it. If a circle is worth 1, and a diamond is worth 5, can you rotate the dials so all four quadrants have the same value? Solution: There are 60 points in total, so each quadrant must have 15 points. Move the yellow dial clockwise once, and move the white dial counter-clockwise once, in order to accomplish this. --- Solving the dial trial puzzle lets you go to the midship. Go to that area. You have two puzzles here! To get the first one, talk to Macaw. To get the second one, operate the machine in the middle, then zoom down to the area below. Examine the fuel cans there for the puzzle. Puzzle #010: Funky Hooks ------------------------ Location: Midship Person: Macaw Summary: The hooks here move in a predictable pattern. Can you get Layton to the red spot, while avoiding the hooks? Solution: The pattern is simple to figure out. A hook will go up all the way, turn around, then go down all the way and turn around. The pattern repeats. Move Layton right twice, down twice and right five times. You are in the lower/right corner. A hook is in the way, so get rid of it by going up, down, and left twice. Then go right twice, up twice and right to the goal. Puzzle #011: A Laborious Litre ------------------------------ Location: Midship Examine: Fuel Drums Summary: You have two drums of fuel, one holding 9 L and the other holding 11 L. Move fuel back and forth between them, until you have 1 L of fuel. Solution: Start by filling the left tank. You do this by pushing up on the left lever. Press the right button to transfer the fuel. Now repeat these four steps over and over again, until you have solved the puzzle: 1. Fill the left one 2. Press right 3. Empty the right one (by pressing down) 4. Press right --- When you're done with Macaw's puzzle, you can move to a new area. Go there. Professor Layton will confront Bronev, then he will escape with Luke and the girl. All three of them fall into the woods, and the girl is separated from Luke and Layton. 003b-Chapter 2: The Mysterious Girl ----------------------------------------------------------- Video 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GVsCgdRBu4 Our heroes are uninjured, and Professor Sycamore confirms that they are by Lake Kodh, sometimes called Siren Lake. Talk to the squirrel for a puzzle. Puzzle #012: Squirrel Snacks ---------------------------- Location: Lakeside Forest Person: Squirrel Summary: There are four berries here. You must find the second-heaviest and third-heaviest berries. When their weights are added together, Solution: The berries you want are A and D. --- The squirrel gives you the Nutty Roller game, which you can access from Professor Layton's trunk. The squirrel also shows Luke the way to town. Go right to the town and talk to the boy to learn that the mysterious girl headed into town. You can go downwards from here to reach the airship Bostonius, if you want. Video #9: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HB506PmXMr4 As you head into town, our heroes note that the villains are here. Professor Sycamore explains that the villains are part of Targent, a group led by Bronev. This group has taken over various Azran areas that Layton found in previous games (and in a movie). Talk to Sonya for a puzzle. Puzzle #013: Pretty Paper Petals -------------------------------- Location: Kodh Station Person: Sonya Summary: Change the colors here, so no two petals that are touching have the same color. Solution: The inner circle is purple, red and yellow, working clockwise. The second-from-inner circle is blue, purple, blue, red, blue and red, starting from the petal on tip. The next circle of petals (which do not touch the outside of the flower) is red, blue, yellow, blue, purple and yellow, starting from the top. The outside petals, starting from the top and going clockwise, are yellow, purple, red, purple, blue, red, purple, yellow, red, blue, purple and blue. --- Talk to the man to learn that Aldus is here. Zoom on the train station to speak with him. He says that you can tap in areas that have clouds, in order to get collectibles. Try this out on the train's chimney. There is no reward for getting collectibles in this game. The man talks to Layton again, and he says that the missing girl headed towards the fish market. Video #10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWBQM0H6Zug Go to the fish market. There are two puzzles here. One is with Larisa, and the other is on a fish drawing. Puzzle #014: Blooming Flowers ----------------------------- Location: Fish Market Person: Larisa Summary: Put pieces on the board to fill it completely. No flowers of the same color can be in adjacent squares. Solution: The larger L-piece goes in the lower/left corner, while the large L-piece goes in the upper/left corner. The plus-shaped piece goes in between them. The cross-shaped piece goes into the hole in the bottom/left, while the C- shaped piece goes on the right side on the bottom. The bottom area is all filled. The T-piece goes on the top, with the two-block piece on the right. The final piece goes into the final spot. Puzzle #015: Something Fishy ---------------------------- Location: Fish Market Examine: Fish Sign Summary: Move pieces around to make a picture! You can only move a row or column, if it has three pieces in it. Solution: Move Row 3 right once, and move Row 4 left twice. Move column 3 up once, move Row 2 left once and Row 4 right once. --- When you solve the puzzle, Larisa leads you to Boris' area. Go there, and the villains are being mean to Boris. Talk to him, and he recommends going up the hill. Do so, then examine the boards on the far left for a puzzle. Puzzle #016: Give Me a Sign! ---------------------------- Location: Hilltop Lookout Examine: Boards Summary: Make an image on the sign! Solution: You can see the outline of the U-Turn arrow on the sign, on the top screen. The two pieces with inside curves go in the two upper corners. The piece with an outside curve goes beneath the "U" in the u-turn. A green two-block piece goes next to it, and the largest piece goes beneath them. The L-piece goes in the lower/left, which a piece along the left-hand side to cover that part of the board. The longest piece covers the right-hand side. The two remaining pieces go on the bottom, to form the arrow. The smaller of the pieces is in the bottom/right corner. --- Video #11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XndRXpDX8No When you solve Puzzle 16, you can examine the hills to see Bronev's airship. You hear a scream from below! Go down a screen and talk to Boris. He is frightened. Puzzle #017: Walking on Water ----------------------------- Location: Level Crossing Person: Boris Summary: Move Layton around the board, until he is in the square directly under the girl. Solution: Go left, left, up, right, right, and right to the upper/right corner. Go down, left, left, left, up and right to the exit. --- When you solve the puzzle, Layton and friends see the girl raise up an Azran building from the bottom of the lake. Go inside, and the girl introduces herself as Aurora. The Azran left her as some sort of messenger. When you can do so, talk to her for a puzzle. Puzzle #018: The Celestial King ------------------------------- Location: Azran Dome Person: Aurora Summary: Put four lines on the board, which separate the board into ten pieces. Two riders cannot be in the same piece, and no line can cross a rider. Solution: The board looks like this. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Connect 5 and 6, 7 and 2, 9 and 3, 1 and 8. --- Video #12: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFJmweuDWrU Time for our heroes to leave. Go to the Level Crossing. You need to talk to the man in the red coat, before you can enter the fish market. At the fish market, try to leave, and your exit is blocked. Talk to the man who looks like a fish. He suggests hiding Aurora behind white boxes. Zoom in on the boxes and Aurora hides. Talk to the villains, and Layton leads them in the wrong direction. A new pathway opens up on the bottom screen. Talk to Sonya for a puzzle. Puzzle #019: A Dog of Tiles --------------------------- Location: Lake Kodh Waterfront Person: Sonya Summary: Place tiles on the board and duplicate the picture on the top screen! Solution: Place a white tile in the upper/right corner, and place another white tile directly below it. Place a brown tile, so it is covering the left side of the tile you placed down. Place a white tile so its up/right piece is one below the up/right green tile. See how you have made the dog's tail? Time to build the dog's head. Place a white tile, left of the up/right green tile. Place a red tile, so it is covering the bottom side of the tile you just placed. Place a brown tile, so it covers the left side of the tile you just placed. Place a white tile in the upper/left corner in order to finish the dog's head. Put a white tile in the lower/right corner. Put a brown tile so its lower/right tile covers the upper/right tile of the group you just placed. Put a brown tile, so it covers the bottom red tile on the board and does not touch the dog's tail. Put the final brown tile so its left side is above the bottom/left green tile. Finish with the white tiles. One goes right of the bottom/left green tile, and two go on the left hand side of the board. --- Try to go to the Bostonius to find more villains. Talk to the woman on the right to learn that you can escape on a boat. Examine the boat and solve the escape puzzle. Puzzle #020: Boat to Boat ------------------------- Location: Lake Kodh Waterfront Examine: Boat Summary: You want to get to the exit area, by jumping from boat to boat. Solution: Go right four times, then up. Go left twice and up. Go left twice and up. Go right three times and up. You are now on the orange boat. Go left twice and up. Go right once and up. Go right three times to the exit. --- You end up at the pier. Talk to Igor for a puzzle, before going downwards to the Bostonius. Puzzle #021: Fishing Friends ---------------------------- Location: Lake Kodh Pier Person: Igor Summary: A, B and C are fishing. One person got a boot, one got a can, and the third got a big catch. B did not get the boot, and the boot fisher is next to the big catch. Who got the big catch? Solution: B --- Go down to the Bostonius and talk with Professor Sycamore to end the chapter. 003c-Chapter 3: A Day Out in London ----------------------------------------------------------- Video #13: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjS1tnK5sFA We see Inspector Grosky get a new assignment, while our other heroes plan for their journey. Examine the cabinet here for a puzzle. Puzzle #022: Hose Help? ----------------------- Location: Layton's Office Examine: Cabinet Summary: Which person can help you fix the hose? Solution: B. He is standing on the hose. --- Go outside and talk to Dean Delmona. Puzzle #023: Choc-Full ---------------------- Location: Gressenheller University Person: Dean Delmona Summary: Separate the box of chocolates into five groups, each one matching the five groups shown on the top screen. Solution: ABCDD ABCED ABCEE A B and C are vertical lines, drawn from top to bottom. --- When you solve Delmona's puzzle, you can use the bus system to travel to Kensington. Video #14: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVaPYc9kmCg Our heroes arrive in London, and they meet Luke's mother. Talk to her for a puzzle. Puzzle #024: Mutual Meeting Place --------------------------------- Location: Kensington High Street Person: Brenda Triton Summary: Using the clues given, determine where the friends are going to meet. Solution: According to B, it is on the blue line. It is two stops away from D. --- Brenda says that Aurora wandered over to the museum. Go there and talk to her. She believes an Azran item is inside, but a policeman is guarding it. Talk to the office for a puzzle. Puzzle #025: Cracking Combinations ---------------------------------- Location: Museum Grounds Person: Policeman Summary: What number cannot be formed, by adding 1, 2, 4, 7, 15 and 31? Solution: 30. --- The officer says a robbery took place in the museum, and it will be opened to the public once the investigation is over. In the meantime, go back to Kensington. Look at the clothing store on the left, and Emmy helps Aurora purchase a new outfit. Video #15: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woyiqKOJMf4 Grosky chases after some Targent criminals. Follow him to an alleyway for a cutscene. When that's done, you can examine a cat in the upper/right for a puzzle. Puzzle #026: Copy Cats ---------------------- Location: Raven's Way Examine: Cats Summary: The cats move in opposite directions. Can you get them into the center? Solution: Press the down button until the cats are in opposite corners. --- After this, you can use the bus to travel to a new location. It is the aerodome. Go there, and as you go to the Bostonius, Emmy is called by Granny Riddleton. Talk to her, then go on the Bostonius. Talk to Raymond, then Professor Sycamore. They think it is best if you visit Scotland Yard first. Video #16: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHzyvsEgdMw Before you can leave the aerodome, you must talk to the woman here for a puzzle. Puzzle #027: A Heart of Tiles ----------------------------- Location: London Aerodome Person: Amelie Summary: Do the tile puzzle again, and this time, make a heart! Solution: Put a white tile in the upper/right, and a red tile one left of it. Put a white tile in the upper/left, and a red tile one right of it. Put a white tile in the middle of the upper row. You have the topmost row all set. Place a red tile on the rightmost area, one square below the top. Place a red tile in the leftmost area, one square below the top. Put a white tile in the bottom/right corner. Place a red tile on the bottom, so it is left of the white tile, without covering any of it. Place a white piece in the bottom/left corner. Now the bottom row is in place. All you have to do now is put red tiles in place. One goes in the middle columns of the second-from-bottom row. A piece goes one up and one right of that one, while the final piece goes two left of it. --- You want to visit Scotland Yard at this point, but when you reach there, you trigger the appearance of three other puzzles. Let's solve them first! One is in Lyaton's office at Gressenheller, one is in Raven's Way at Kensington, and one is in the airship Bostonius. Puzzle #028: Directing a Delivery --------------------------------- Location: Layton's Office Person: Dean Delmona Summary: You have four options, which you can assign to four symbols. Assign them correctly, to get the man to the exit. Solution: The proper solution is right, left, forward and jump. Puzzle #029: Carriages of Justice --------------------------------- Location: Raven's Way Person: Officer Summary: How many officers are needed to catch three criminals on a train? You want the officers to completely surround them. Solution: Five. Puzzle #030: Airship's Destination 2 ------------------------------------ Location: The Bostonius Person: Raymond Summary: You need to more the airship to every spot on the map. There are a number of red fuel stations, which refill your fuel meter on the right. Solution: Move right twice, then down twice. This effectively divides the board in half, and you want to tackle the left half first. Go left, up, left and down to a station. Go down, and right twice to a station. Go right twice and up twice to a station. Go up, left and down twice to the end. --- With those puzzles out of the way, return to Scotland Yard. Talk to Hanna for a puzzle. Puzzle #031: For the Heart! --------------------------- Location: Scotland Yard Person: Hannah Summary: Find the ten buttons which form a star. Solution: The leftmost tip of the star is the middle piece, while the rightmost tip is the piece directly left of the second-from-top piece in the rightmost column. --- Video #17: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD-eiL7uRLs When you solve Hanna's puzzle, you can go inside the building. Do so, and talk to the officer to learn the archives are closed. You decide to ask for help from Detective Inspector Bloom. Visit his office and talk to him to get permission. Go to the archives. Talk to Emmy or Luke, and you will be able to zoom in on the right side of the room. Examine the right bookshelf to learn about thefts at the museum. Luke suspects Descole is behind this! Either way, your new destination is the museum. Before leaving, examining the books right of the desk (in the main area) for a puzzle. Puzzle #032: Bibliofiling ------------------------- Location: Archives Examine: Books Summary: Place all the books on the archives! The numbers indicate how many books are in a row or column. Solution: R is red, B is blue, G is green. BB RRRR G B R BG BR RRRR BR G R --- When you go to Kensington after this, you are given the World Times. You will get articles from the World Times as you go throughout the game, and reading them will unlock puzzles. Video #18: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzD1kqxjpwA Before going to the museum, you might want to go to Gressenheller University for a puzzle. Hanna also has a puzzle at Kensington. Puzzle #033: Shopping Spree ---------------------------- Location: Gressenheller University Person: Brenda Triton Summary: Order the woman across the board, so she spends all of the money. Solution: Go right twice, down twice, right twice, up twice, left, up, right twice, and down twice to the end. Puzzle #034: The Future Awaits ------------------------------ Location: Kensington High Street Person: Hanna Summary: It takes a man 15 seconds to from Floor 1 to Floor 5. How long does it take him to go to the 25th floor? Solution: It takes 90 seconds to go up 24 floors, at a rate of 4 floors per every 15 seconds. --- At the museum grounds, talk to the officer to learn the museum is still closed off. Luke's father, Dr. Triton, appears. He gives you permission to go inside. Go inside and talk to the police officers. After that, zoom in on left corridor and talk to Clark. Puzzle #035: Fake Fragments --------------------------- Location: Museum Person: Clark Triton Summary: Find the two authentic fragments, according to the photo. Solution: The photograph is reversed, so you want to find the reversed fragments. They are the first picture, and the tile with a line and a tree. --- Talk to Clark again. The professors talk among themselves, and we have a minor puzzle as they work out what happened. The criminal works for...Targent They avoid detection because...They work for Scotland Yard They swapped real artifacts for fakes because...They used the investigation. Solution: The long horizontal piece goes in the upper/left, while the long vertical piece goes in the lower/left. You have three pieces which are vertical and contain two straight pipes. One goes in the lower/left. One goes one right of the upper/left piece. One goes one spot right and one spot down of the piece you just placed. You have four L-pieces now. The two of them with a wider bottom than a top go in the bottom row. The two of them with a wider top than bottom go in the remaining spots. Puzzle #037: Fuel's Errand 2 ---------------------------- Location: The Bostonius Person: Sycamore Summary: Put all the pipes on the board so they all connect. Solution: The L-shaped piece which fits in the upper/left corner goes there. The three-by-one piece with two curved ends goes in the bottom/left, while the three-by-one piece with one curved end goes in the exact middle of the board. The two-by-one piece with two straight pipes goes in the left. The two-by-one piece with one curve connects to the pipe on the bottom. All that is left are seven L-pipes. Three have a wider top than bottom. The one with a piece sticking to the right goes in the upper/right corner. The one with three curved pipes (two of which touch each other) connects to the pipe in the top. The final one goes in the lower/right. You have four pieces with a wider bottom than a top. One connects the pipes in the top row. One connects the pipes on the right two columns. One connects the pieces in the lower/right, and the last one connects the two three-by-one pieces. There are two square pieces, one being a two-by-two and one being a two-by-two with an extra piece to the right. Put the one with an extra piece in the upper/left, with the two-by-two below it. The five-square piece which resembles a T goes in the lower/left. The five-square with three ends goes right of it, and the five-square piece which resembles a Z goes in the lower/right. The four-square Z piece goes in the upper/right, with a piece in the corner spot. The two-by-one piece goes in the remaining spot. --- When you talk to the woman, she talks about the stage. Go there and look at the man from earlier. It seems that everyone in the village is trying to make the village elder laugh. If it is an orange, he visits every place with an orange. If it is an apple, he visits every place with an apple. You are given the schedule for each location, and the number of times the bird went there. Can you figure out what fruits he ate? Puzzle #048: Acorn Allocation 2 ------------------------------- Location: Chief's House Examine: Bag Summary: Just like before, find routes for the squirrels, so they all eat the same number of acorns. Solution: The top squirrel goes down twice, then up and down to the middle house. The middle squirrel goes down once, then up three times to the top house. The bottom squirrel goes up twice and down twice to the bottom house. That way, all squirrels get 16 acorns. --- Leave the house and go left. Layton wants rods and glue. Ask Amanita for some rods, then look at the tree here. Sycamore mentions glue at the village square. Go there and examine the mushroom on the right for glue. Puzzle #049: Fussy Fruit Eaters ------------------------------- Location: Tree Trunk Bridge Person: Button Summary: A wants more food than C, C wants more than B, and B wants a non-blue fruit that is in the middle. How much fruit does each person get? Solution: B gets a green fruit. C gets two blue fruits. A gets three red fruits. Puzzle #050: Forest Friends --------------------------- Location: Grand Stage Person: Chanterelle Summary: Place animals on the board, so the character reaches the end, without ever stopping on a dark spot. The same type of animal can never appear twice in a row. Solution: The animals are mouse, fox, rabbit, fox, bear, fox, rabbit and fox. Puzzle #051: Baby Boar Racing ----------------------------- Location: Village Square Person: Amanita Summary: Move boars left and right, until they are all in their correct locations. You have to move two boars at a time. Solution: Move 5 and 4 right. Move 3 and 1 left. Move 1 and 5 left, so 1 is in place. Move 5 and 2 left. Move 3 and 5 right, then move 2 and 4 left. --- Button indicates that she got the crystal from a wet area, across the bridge. Go across the bridge, and you see a waterfall. Examine the rock on the top of the waterfall to close off the water, so you can enter the crystal cave. Before going inside, you might want to examine the tree on the right for a puzzle. It is somewhat tricky to trigger this. Puzzle #052: An Epic Quest -------------------------- Location: Jungle Waterfall Examine: Tree Summary: Get the hero to the key, then to the chest! Solution: To get to the key, the path must go down, left, down, left, down, left, down and left. Examine the crystals in the upper/right area. There is a large pillar in the middle. Examine the small stone at the base of the pillar. Layton removes it, which allows you to zoom in on the crystals. Puzzle #053: The Domino Effect ------------------------------ Location: Jungle Waterfall Person: Amelie Summary: Which block can you push over, in order to ensure all the various blocks fall down? Solution: Push over the block which is in the upper/right corner. Not all of this block is on the screen. --- Now that you have the items you need, go to the grand stage. Talk to the chief, and there is a minor puzzle where you must make the item the chief needs. The top/left crystal must be polished, the top/right item in the middle group must be cut, and the bottom/left item in the right group must be glued. The item the chief needs is glasses! Now that he can see, he is happy again. He gives you the egg, in thanks. Go to the Bostonius after this, because you're done with Phong Gi! 003e2. He says the egg can be found in town. Go there to see that there are many, many eggs! Talk to the woman here, and she says her friend north of here can help you find the true egg. Before going north, solve a puzzle by looking at the boat. Puzzle #054: A Trio of Trouble ------------------------------ Location: Floating Market Examine: Boat Summary: There are three triplets in these boats. Which boars are they in? Solution: Boats 2, 3 and 6. You can see the ones in boats 2 and 3 (who have different hair colors, but identical faces). You can deduce one is in boat 6, because that boat is sinking down lower than the others, meaning it is heavy. --- The area north of the market is the beachside walkway. Talk to Miranda for a puzzle. Puzzle #055: Very Specific Scoops --------------------------------- Location: Beachside Walkway Person: Miranda Summary: Fernando wants three scoops of ice cream. He doesn't want scoop A and E on the bottom, he doesn't want C, he wants B or D in the middle, he wants A or C to be on top, and he doesn't want D on the middle. What does he want? Solution: He wants A on top (because he wants A or C on top, and he doesn't want C). He wants B in the middle (because he wants B or D in the middle, but he doesn't want D in the middle). He wants D on the bottom (because C, D, and E are left, and he doesn't want C or E). In other words, he wants A, B and E, from top to bottom. --- Miranda gives you some cake, and she describes the history of the popoño in brief detail. Puzzle #056: Give Me a Sign! 2 ------------------------------ Location: Beachside Walkway Examine: Signpost Summary: Once again, put the pieces on the board to make a sign! Solution: You can see the outline of the sign, on the upper screen. The triangle piece goes in the upper/right corner. The small rectangle piece goes below it, so the two pieces are touching ends. The orange piece with an angled end goes along the top row, so it touches the two gray triangles left of the yellow triangle on top. See how you are forming a triangle on the sign, in the upper/right? You did that in the earlier puzzle. Put the skinny rectangle in the upper/left, then put the large rectangle right of it. Put the larger red piece in the middle of the screen, so it is below the pieces on top and forms the top of the U-turn sign. The orange L-piece gets turned like an L, and put in the lower/left corner. The big brown piece gets turned like a U and put in the middle of the bottom row. The other L piece goes in the left corner area, rotated to fit. The longer red piece goes on the right-hand side, under the other piece. The Z-piece is rotated to fit the lower/right corner. The two curved pieces go to the form the bottoms of the U-turn curve. --- Go back down to the floating market. A man named Bud is here. He agrees to tell you about the popoño egg, if you solve a puzzle for him. Puzzle #057: A Boatload of Trouble ---------------------------------- Location: Floating Market Person: Bud Summary: Separate the wood into groups of four. Each group must have ten pieces of wood. Solution: It looks like this: AAFFEE BAAFFE BCCCCE BBDDDD --- Follow Bud to his restaurant. He says that the citizens of San Grio pass the original popoño egg around the town, according to a certain set of rules. You need to talk to the various citizens of the town, so you can figure out the rules and use them to get the egg yourself. When you return to the marketplace, you see the Targent villains. A ball can only travel one or two spaces at once. Solution: This is pretty easy. Let's start by getting the red ball into place. Move blue right, green left and orange left. --- The northernmost part of town is the Hilltop Hotel. Go there and talk to Amelie for a puzzle. On the way there, you have a puzzle at the lighthouse. Puzzle #060: Boat to Boat 2 --------------------------- Location: Lighthouse Examine: Tree Summary: Go across the boats to reach the opposite shore, just like before. Solution: Move right once and up. Move left once and up twice. Move right twice and down, then go left five times. Go up twice, then right three times and up. Go left once, and up. Then go right three times to the exit. --- Layton and Emmy work through the stories. The first transfer involved...marital status. The second transfer involved...genders. Amelie followed...either rule. So apparently, Rule #1 is "give the egg to someone with a different marital status than you", and Rule #2 is "give the egg to someone of a different gender than you". You can follow either rule, or both. Now that our heroes have figured out the rules, they can work out the order in which people got the popoño egg. Martine gave it to Javier, who gave it to Miranda, who gave it to Amelie, who gave it to Bud. So Bud had the popoño egg all along! Go right to his bar and grill, then talk to him in order to get it. town. There is a puzzle for you at the outskirts.

area; go there to see Targent harassing a young boy.

Talk to the boy, whose name is Umid, to learn that all of 
the adults in town have fallen ill. Go to his house and 
talk to him to learn more about the situation.

Go back to Phoenix Square, the area with the big statue. 
Talk to the boy here for a puzzle.

Another new location opens up. This is the temple. Go

right for a puzzle. Look at the top of the temple to solve 
the puzzle. Your goal is to spin the three circles to match 
the riddle.

The sun goes on the top, the moon goes in the bottom/right, 
and the rising sun goes in the bottom/left. Solving this 
opens a similar puzzle at the city gate.

Go to the city gate and look at the blue plaque for another 
riddle. The riddle refers to the blue spikes on the 
walkway. Look at them, and select the third and fifth 
spikes, counting from the left.

Go to the center of town, and there is another plaque. This 
plaque leads to the sluice gate outside of town. You want 
to go there, but there are three puzzles in town first. One 
is in the tree at the hill, another is with Temir at the 
gate, and one is with Mehri at the temple.

The gates are opened when you solve the puzzle. This allows 
water to flow into town, forming a phoenix-shape. You want 
to go to the phoenix's eye, which is the hill in the town. 
Go there, and our heroes discover an Azran lab.

They use the lab to make a cure for the sleeping adults. It 
is revealed the adults are sick, because they ate bad 
mushrooms. Go to the temple and talk to the woman to get 
the final Azran egg, then return to the Bostonius. You can 
then talk to Aurora to finish the chapter.

Once you find all five Azran eggs, you have the ability to 
go back to all the places in the game and solve more 
puzzles. Specifically, you can solve puzzles 86-112.

Alternately, you can talk to Aurora and begin Chapter Five

Froenborg
---------

To unlock the three puzzles in Froenborg, read the World 
Times Articles 14 and 17. When you read article 14, you can 
go to the Snow Coach Stop to unlock the Frossen Bridge 
area. That area has two puzzles, one with Erik, and one 
with the larger peg stuck in the frozen ice. When you read 
article 17, you can go to Slippery Street to open up a 
place called The Melted Snowflake. Talk to Georg for a

the lower path. Stop in between the two orange spots, then 
drop the red car. Hit the switch and go clockwise in a 
complete circle. Your cars are in the right order, but on 
the bottom, not the top!

Hit the switch again. Drive backwards to the rightmost 
spot, then go left, on the upper track to finish.

Puzzle #129: Tough-to-Reach Tea

Summary: It's a slider puzzle! Move the blue tea from the 
lower/left to the exit on the right.

Solution: First, we want to get the blue tin out of the 
left-hand column. Do this by moving the lower/right piece 
right once, to the corner. Move the purple piece left all 
the way. Move the raspberry (in the middle) left and up, 
under the other horizontal piece. You can now move the two 
vertical pieces in the lower/left corner to the right, out 
of the left-hand column.

Now we need to move pieces around, in hopes of being able 
to move the horizontal pieces left, out of the way. Start 
by moving the two left-side pieces down to the bottom, and 
moving the white piece in the upper/left corner. There are 
two horizontal pieces in the middle. Move the top one left 
all the way, and move the bottom one up all the way.

You have a purple horizontal piece on the bottom. Move the 
two vertical pieces on the bottom up, so you can move the 
purple piece left beneath them. You can now move the two 
vertical pieces right, down and right, to the lower/right 
area.

Almost done! Move the raspberry-colored horizontal piece 
down, left and down, so it is above the purple horizontal 
piece. Now all of the horizontal pieces are left of the 
blue tin. 

From here, it's a simple matter of moving all five vertical 
pieces (on the right-hand side of the board) in a clockwise 
fashion, until you have the blue tin in place.

Solution: Mouse, then fox. The person goes down and left to 
a bear, which guides him down and right to a fox. That 
leads him right to a bear, right to a mouse, and up to a 
fox. The fox leads up and left to a rabbit, which leads up 
and left to a bear.

go to the upper/left corner. Hit the orange switches again, 
and go directly right. You connect with the two cars in the

were here, you must solve Macaw's puzzle to proceed. Also, 
you can use the machine on the left to move a platform. 
This lets you zoom in on the area in the left for a puzzle

Puzzle #117: A Laborious 9 Litres

Summary: The small drum has five litres, while the large 
one has eight. Can you get nine litres overall?

Solution: Move the left lever down and press the right

button. You have two liters in left and eight in right.

have two litres on the right.

You'll want to repeat the actions in the previous 
paragraph. Left lever down, right, left lever down, right. 
You have 4 left and 8 right. Move the right lever up, press 
the right button and move the left lever down.

When you solve Makaw's puzzle, you can move to the last 
area of the ship. Talk to Mackintosh to learn that he and 
other scientists are being blackmailed into working for

At the top of Bronev's tower is a guard. You have to solve 
75 puzzles in this game, or else the guard will not let you 
continue.

Go inside Bronev's office, and he challenges you to a 
puzzle. There are 24 coins here. Whoever picks up the last 
coin wins!

The trick to this puzzle is to let Bronev go first. Then, 
pick up enough coins to make four. That is, if he picks up 
one coin, you pick up three. If he picks up two coins, you 
pick up two. If he picks up three coins, you pick up one. 
After six rounds, the puzzle ends.

Bronev tries to recruit Layton, and fails. He gives the egg 
to Layton, then leaves. You can now examine the globe in 
his office for a puzzle.

rescued. The caves hold a series of puzzles that protect 
the Azran legacy, kept inside the Azran sanctuary.

Leave the Bostonius, then go inside the cave. Go forward 
once and examine Descole to start a lengthy scene. Once the 
scene ends, Layton and Descole are left. Talk with Descole 
to temporarily join forces with him.

Go forward and talk to Luke to see he is all right. Examine 
the machine on the left for a puzzle.

Puzzle #144: Medal Match-Up

Summary: Move the medals around, so each medal is in the 
correct spot. A medal moves, according to what is inscribed 
on it. That is, the one medal can move one spot per turn, 
the two medal can move two spots per turn, and so on.

two piece, the one piece, the gold three piece and the one 
piece.

Solution: Go right to a statue and destroy it. Then, go 
right and up. Destroy the statue in the third-from-top row 
in the upper/right area. Destroy the statues in the third-
from-bottom row in the lower/left area by hitting them from 
behind. This lets you destroy the statue in the upper/left 
corner and the statue in the third-from-top row in the 
upper/left area.

Now, go to the top row, by using the pathway in the middle 
of the screen. Destroy the top/right statue, then go the 
top/right corner to end the puzzle.

Puzzle #151: Fuel's Errand 3

Summary: Put the pipes into place, so they all connect.

Solution: The only two-block piece goes in the third-from-
left column, in the second-and-third-from-top rows. 
Connecting to it, on the top, is a piece with a covered 
bend in the upper/right. The other piece with a bend in the 
upper/right goes in the upper/right corner of the board.

The piece with the covered bend in the upper/left goes in 
the upper/left corner. The piece with a covered bend in the 
lower/right goes in the lower/right corner. There are two 
pieces with a bend in the lower/left. The one with two 
straight pieces goes in the lower/left corner, while the 
other goes in the bottom row, in columns 4 and 5.

There are five more pieces. Three of them can be easily 
placed, while the other two are the same shape. The piece 
with one straight pipe goes in the left, while the one with 
two straight pipes goes in the final place.

upper/left statue. Destroy both statues in the third-from-
left column, starting with the top one. Destroy the lowest 
statue on the board.

Destroy the statue in the third-from-right column. This 
lets you destroy the statue in the fourth-from-right 
column. Destroy the upper/right statue. There are three 
statues left. Destroy them in a counter-clockwise order.

005-The Forest Dweller's House

When you solve puzzle #012 at the start of Chapter 2, you 
unlock the Nutty Roller area in Layton's trunk. As you 
solve various puzzles in the game, you will unlock 
different Nutty Roller Tracks.

1. Floating Island:

Roll a rock down the right bridge. Roll a rock down the 
left bridge. Roll the walnut down the center.

2. Roly-Poly Bridges:

Roll two rocks across the bottom area. Roll a rock across 
the middle and roll two rocks across the bottom.

3. Winding Way:

Roll a rock in the fourth-from-top row (note that the 
highest you can reach is the second-from-top row). Roll a 
rock in the lowest row you can. Roll a rock in the third-
from-top row. Roll the walnut in the third-from-top row.

4. Tumble Forest:

Roll an acorn, then a rock, in the middle row. Roll the 
other acorn in the row one above the middle row. Roll a 
rock in the top row, and roll a rock in the row that is one 
below the middle row. Roll a rock in the row above the 
middle row, then roll a rock in the top row. Roll the final 
rock in the lowest row.

5. Teetering Tower:

Roll a rock right off the middle row. Roll a rock left of 
the top/left corner. Roll two rocks down from the 
bottom/right corner. Roll the final rock right off the

6. Staggered Hills:

Puzzle #155: Burger Building 3
------------------------------

Summary: Jump over all the pieces, and finish in the middle 
spot.

Solution: Move the lettuce up and the burger down. Move the 
cheese right/down, the tomato up, and the bacon up/left. 
Move the lettuce down/left, move the patty up and 
down/left. Move the tomato down, then to the center spot.

Puzzle #156: Lighten Up 3
-------------------------

Summary: Put lanterns on the board to cover all areas. 
Different colored lights can't overlap.

Solution: Put a yellow light in the top/right, a yellow in 
the leftmost spot in the second-from-top row, and a yellow 
in the second-from-left column, in the third-from-bottom 
row. The green goes in the second-from-right column in the 
second-from-bottom row. The two remaining spots get red 
lanterns.

006-The Keen Gardener's House 
-----------------------------------------------------------

When you solve Puzzle 014, you get the Bloom Burst 
Minigame. This is located in Layton's trunk. You will get 
more bloom burst puzzles as you solve puzzles throughout 
the game.

1. Victorian Terrace

The two purple flowers go in the two ends of the second-
from-top row. The two yellow flowers go in the two ends of 
the second-from-bottom row. The blue flower goes in the top 
of the middle row, with the red flower in the bottom of the 
middle row.

2. Lily Lake

Blue flowers go in (column 2, top row), (column 6, third 
row), and (column 3, fifth row). A red flower goes in the 
starting square, with the other red flower one above and 
one left of the lower/right tree. One yellow flower goes in 
the second column, third row. The other yellow flowers go 
in column 6, rows 1 and 5.

3. Wonderland

The top row has two blue flowers, one in the rightmost spot 
and one three left of it. Two below the upper/right blue 
flower is a yellow flower, and two below that is a blue 
flower. A yellow flower is in the second-from-bottom row, 
in the leftmost spot of the right group. Below it is a blue 
flower, with a purple flower in the lower/left corner. Four 
about that is a yellow flower, and two right of that is a 
purple flower. The red flower goes right of the two trees.

4. Tropical Turf

The leftmost column has a blue flower on top, purple flower 
in middle and red flower on bottom. The bottom/right corner 
has a blue flower, with a purple two spaces above it and a 
yellow four spaces left of it. The starting red square has 
a blue flower, with a red two squares left of it. A red 
flower goes in the third-from-right column, in the second-
from-top row. A yellow flower is two left of it. A red 
flower is one above and one left of the red flower. The 
last yellow flower is in the third-from-left column, in the 
middle row.

5. Wiltswood

The second-from-top row has a purple flower in the third-
from-left column, with a blue flower two right of it. The 
third-from-top row has two yellow flowers on the right, 
with a red flower two left of them. That red flower has a 
yellow flower under it, with a second yellow flower two 
spaces below.

The second-from-bottom row has a blank spot, a yellow 
flower, a blank spot, a red, a blue, two blank spots and a 
red. A purple flower is above the right red flower. The 
second-from-left column has a purple flower in the middle 
row, with a red below it and a blue right of it.

6. Gravestone Grove

The second-from-top row has a pink flower in the second-
from-right column. Three squares left of it is a yellow 
flower, two squares left of that is a yellow flower, and 
two squares left of that is a pink flower. One square below 
the left pink flower is a purple one.

The bottom row has a blue flower in the third and sixth 
columns, counting from the left. It has a purple flower in 
the second-from-right column. The third-from-bottom row has 
a yellow flower in the first, third and fifth columns from 
the left. Two right of the last yellow flower is a red 
flower, with a red flower three right of the other red one.

A purple flower goes in the leftmost column, two above the 
yellow flower. Another purple flower goes in the fifth-
from-left column, above the lower yellow flower. A yellow 
flower goes in the seventh column, two below the other 
yellow flower. The other two flowers go in the second-from-
right column, above the lower red flower; the purple will 
be above the red one.

7. Submerged Gate

The top row has two blue flowers, in the fourth and sixth 
columns. The fifth column has a red flower in the second-
from-top row, with a yellow flower two below it, a yellow 
flower two below it, and a blue flower two below it.

The starting square has a red flower, with a purple flower 
above it, and a yellow flower three above the purple. The 
fourth-from-top row has a red flower in column 2, with a 
yellow right of it, a yellow two right of that, a yellow 
two right of that, a blue right of that, a yellow two right 
of that, and a purple two right of that.

The third-from-bottom row has a red flower in the second-
from-left column, with a yellow two right of that, a blue 
two right of that, and a red right of that. Finally, there 
is a red flower in the third-from-top row, two left of the 
mushroom.

8. Froenhage

The second-from-left column has a blue on top, a yellow two 
below it, a red two below it, a red below it, a purple 
below it, and a blue two below it. Right of the leftmost 
purple is a blue.

The fifth-from-left column has a red on top, a blue two 
below it, a purple three below it. The sixth-from-left 
column has a yellow two above the tree. The seventh-from-
left column has a blue on bottom, a yellow two above it, 
and a purple on the red starting spot.

The fifth-from-right column has a red in the top row, a red 
two below it, and a red five below that. The fourth-from-
right column has a blue below the two mushrooms. The third-
from-right column has a yellow in the third-from-top row, a 
red in the second-from-bottom row, and a purple one above 
the red. The rightmost column has a purple on top. The 
second-from-right column has a blue on top, with a yellow 
two below it.

9. Igneous Ridge

The second-from-left column has a blue on bottom, with a 
purple three above it. The third-from-left column has a 
yellow on top and a yellow two below it. The fourth-from-
left column has a red in the second-from-bottom row. The 
fifth-from-left column has a blue in the third-from-bottom 
row, a blue two above it, and purple above the blue. The 
sixth-from-left column has a red under the tree.

The column with the red starting square has a blue on top, 
a purple below it, and a blue below it. A blue is in the 
bottom row, with a yellow two above it. The fourth-from-
right column has a blue in the third-from-bottom row, with 
a purple two above it. The second-from-right column has a 
blue in the second-from-bottom row, with a red above it. 
Three above the red is a yellow, and one above the yellow 
is a purple.

10. Arcadia

The leftmost column has purple on top, a purple three below 
it, and a yellow three below it. The third-from-left column 
has a yellow on top, a red three below it and a purple two 
below the red. The fourth-from-left column has a purple in 
the third-from-top row, with a yellow three below it and a 
blue two below that. The fifth-from-left column has a red 
in the second-from-top row.

The sixth-from-left row has a blue on bottom, with a purple 
two above that and a red two above the purple. The seventh-
from-left column has two blues on top, with a red in the 
second-from-bottom row.

The rightmost column has a blue on top, with a yellow two 
below it and a purple four below the yellow. The second-
from-right column has a red in the second-from-bottom row, 
with a purple two above it. The third-from-left column has 
a yellow on bottom, with a yellow three above it. The 
fourth-from-left column has a red in the third-from-bottom 
row, with a yellow three above it.

There is a red piece in the starting square. The row left 
of the starting square has a red in the second-from-top 
row, a purple two below that, and a blue three below that. 

Solving all ten of the Bloom Burst puzzles unlocks The Keen 
Gardener's House, in the "Layton's Challenges" section of 
the bonuses section. There are three puzzles here that you 
can solve.

Puzzle #157: Funky Hooks 3
--------------------------

Summary: Move all over the board and get to the ending 
square. The hooks move in a regular pattern.

Solution: Go right, up, two right, two down, right, and 
down. Go two right, two up, down, right, up and right.

Puzzle #158: A Puzzling Pyramid 3
---------------------------------

Summary: Place numbers on the board, so every number is the 
same as the difference between the two numbers below it.

Solution:

Puzzle #159: Blooming Flowers 3
-------------------------------

Summary: Place pieces on the board, to fill it up. Blue and 
purple must alternate in all areas.

Solution: There are two pieces that are one-by-five. The 
one with blue on the ends goes along the left wall and 
touches the lower/left corner. The one with purple on the 
ends goes along the bottom wall. The piece with six squares 
goes in the upper/left corner.

The piece with five squares goes in the lower/left gap. The 
four-by-four piece goes in the lower/right gap. The two-by-
one piece goes under the house. The L-shaped piece goes in 
the upper/right, with the other piece left of it.

007-The Azran Emissary's House 
-----------------------------------------------------------

When you complete the game, you unlock the Azran Emissary's 
house.

Puzzle #160: Sprint and Switch! 2
---------------------------------

Summary: Walk all over the board, touching all the lights.

Solution: Go up all the way, right and down. Go right, up, 
down all the way, left all the way, down, and right to the 
corner. Go up, left, up all the way, right, and down twice. 

Puzzle #161: A Groovy Level 2
-----------------------------

Summary: You want to spin six squares, so the lever can 
slide to the exit.

Solution: Top/left, top/middle, bottom/right, 
bottom/middle, top/right and bottom/left.

Puzzle #162: Exit on the Left 2
-------------------------------

Summary: You must reach the exit on the left, without 
stepping on the same square twice, and without being hit by 
lasers.

Solution: Go up twice, left twice, down, right, down, left 
three times, up twice, left and up. Go right, up, right, 
up, left twice, down, left, up twice, and left three times. 
You are now in the upper/left corner. Go down, right, down, 
left, two down, right twice, down, right, down, left all 
the way and up.

008-The Puzzle Lover's House
-----------------------------------------------------------

When you solve puzzles 001-162, you unlock the Puzzle 
Lover's House, in Layton's Challenges, in the bonuses 
section. This area contains the final three puzzles of the 
game.

Puzzle #163: Mutiny! 3
----------------------

Summary: Hop pieces over each other, to change their 
colors. Your goal is to turn all the pieces white.

Solution: Move the lower/left piece to the upper/right 
corner. Move the center piece to the lower/right. Move the 
upper/right piece to the middle. Move the lower/right piece 
to the upper/left spot.

Move the upper/left white piece to the lower/right corner. 
Move the left white piece up/left over one piece. Move the 
upper/left piece down/right. Move the lower/right piece all 
the way up/left, and move the center piece up/right.

Puzzle #164: Snoozysnore Strikes!
---------------------------------

Summary: Throw out three sleeping bombs, in hopes of 
getting on in the upper/right corner.

Solution: Move the second-from-right vent, the leftmost 
vent and the second-from-right vent. 

Puzzle #165: A Troublesome Table
--------------------------------

Summary: Move the table in the lower/left to the exit on 
the right!

Solution: 


Slide the up/left chair up, and the chair below it left. 
The green chair on top goes left, so you can move the 
blue/white chair to the upper/right corner. The red chair 
goes up and right, then the white chair goes left, so the 
red chair can go down and right.

The white chair goes right, so the blue/brown chair can go 
right and the black chair can go left and down. Move the 
green chair right all the way, then move the black chair up 
all the way. Move the brown/blue chair up all the way, so 
you can move the table right four squares.

Move the brown chair down all the way, then right. Now move 
the black chair down, left, down and left. It is above the 
brown chair. Move the green chair left twice, then move the 
blue/brown chair up and right. Move the green chair right, 
then move the black chair right and up.

Move the brown chair left to the lower/left corner, and 
move the table one left, as well. Move the white chair 
left, and move the blue/brown chair down. Move the green 
chair right, then move the black chair right and down. Move 
the brown chair up twice, and slide the table back to the 
lower/left corner.

Move the black chair down, then move the green chair left. 
Move the black chair back up, move the blue/brown chair up, 
and move the white chair left. Move the red chair down and 
right into the lower/right corner. Move the blue/brown 
chair down and right, then move the white chair right. Move 
the black chair down to the bottom.

Move the green chair right all the way, then down. Move the 
black chair up all the way and move the white chair left. 
Move the blue/brown chair down to the bottom, then move the 
green chair down and right all the way. Move the black 
chair right all the way, then move the white chair up all 
the way.

Time to move that table! Move it right all the way, up 
twice, and right. Move the brown chair down twice and 
right. Move the upper/left chair down all the way, and move 
the white chair left twice. Move the green/brown chair up 
into the white chair, then slide the brown chair left.

Move the table left and down to the bottom. Move the black 
chair left, down all the way and left all the way. Move the 
green chair left all the way and up. Move the blue/brown 
chair up twice and left. Move the red chair left and up 
twice. You can finally move the white table right to the 
exit.
