The game depicts nudity and this guide does not ignore that fact. If you are morally opposed to nudity or are otherwise not legally able to view or read about it, please stop reading here and click the "back" button to return to the previous page. I tried my best to avoid using vulgar language throughout this guide, but there are times where I felt it necessary to convey the exact message the game had, using language that would be considered offensive to some. Please be aware that by reading past this point, you are doing so at your own risk and you may find objectionable words. I cannot be held responsible if you find this guide to go against your morals and convictions. You have been warned. I would like to say that this guide, as well as the other guides for adult 3DO titles I have written are 100% serious. I have received some e-mails making light of them. I have an appreciation for the worst of the worst in the video game world, and that includes awful pornographic titles for a failed system. I wrote this guide and all the others in the interest of preserving this shameful, yet hilarious, part of video game history. Almost every person I have ever had conversation with has never heard of, let alone imagined, pornographic videogames. These guides are to help you understand what they are about, exactly, and help you realize that they are really not erotic at all, especially when compared to what is available on the internet today. This guide is intended to help you understand the story (what little bit there is) within this game. If you are looking for a detailed description of sexual acts, I suggest you look elsewhere. This guide is intended for those of us who are mature enough to look at breasts without gaping mouths and snide remarks. While I usually try to keep my opinions on these adult titles for the 3DO out of the FAQ and save them strictly for the reviews, I feel I have to say something here. While there are a couple more Vivid titles left to do, this SHOULD be the last title I have to do that has any storyline to it. I want to say that this has been a challenge to make it through these video game discs and I do so hope that someone out there appreciates my work. This has been an arduous, yet self-inflicted task that has really worn me out. After doing a few titles two years ago, it pretty much completely burned me out on FAQ writing. Here I am again after those two years and a few more titles later and I am feeling the same way. These games are all terrible, some worse than others. If you enjoyed or found this or any of these guides useful, please take the time to e-mail me and thank me. I want to know that all this work was for a reason. Someone out there HAS to appreciate these guides, right? If you would like to send your words of encouragement my way, please do so via e-mail at Arguro AT Hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Controls (CONT) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the introduction screen, there will be a picture of the cover of the game on the screen. I have watched it several times thinking I may have missed something, but that just does not seem to be the case. If you have a different interpretation, I would like to hear it. The order of the chapters on the menu is a mystery. I first believed the first one to be on the bottom, the second one to be on the top and I know the third one is in the middle. A strong argument can be said that the top is one, the middle three and the bottom two, but when you first start the game, the cursor defaults to the bottom selection. When you push right on the controller from this point, it moves the cursor up to the top selection, indicating that it is the second video. The middle video has to be the last because it contains the copyrights at the end. I would assume the manual would explain it, but I do not have it. Since I can find no damning evidence that the bottom video is not the first, I am going to start there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1 (CHP1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- We start out the presumed chapter one with a brown haired girl walking up towards a really nice house. We will not find out her name until the very last scene, but I will tell you now for the sake of less confusion, her name is Kate. Kate will ring the doorbell and we will see a girl inside answer. We cannot see her face at first. She opens the door and says "Holy shit!" Kate says, "I'm sorry to trouble you." We then see he girl who answered the door and she rather unenthusiastically says, "You're me." We see that these two women look exactly the same. However, they are not related at all and it turns out to be just a coincidence as explained in the next set of dialogue. Before we get there though we see a flashback of sorts to Kate posing and having sex with all sots of different people. Kate (the one who lives in the house) is a porn actress and these are some of her memories that we are experiencing here. There are random words and mathematical equations floating around which just seem to be graphical effects and have no merit towards the story. Eventually, within these scenes we see Kat in a white t- shirt talking to a man in a hat. While no audible words are exchanged, this part is very important. This first encounter with this mystery man will be instrumental later, so just remember his face for now. Within these scenes we see Kate being objectified many times as porn actresses usually are. The men who direct and film the scenes are talking about her as if she is not there. This is all implied since we do not actually hear anything. We see her in a living room type area frustrated and ignoring the men around her. She is clearly disgruntled. After these scenes are done, we see Kate and the look alike talking once more at the door. The girl outside explains that she was looking for a job and saw an ad in the paper looking for a stand in and she has come to apply for the job. Since she looks so similar to Kate, she is the perfect candidate to be a replacement... a replacement perhaps for a disgruntled porn actress who wants out of the business but relies on it for the money. We are shown many more random scenes. Some are sec scenes but the main one is of Fake Kate walking through a house being led by a guy in a blue shirt. This is Fake Kate taking the place of Kate in a porn scene. We see her being lead out onto the patio with a blonde girl who we later learned is named Adrian. After a few more random scenes we see Kate in the arms of the mystery man in another quick and random shot. Next we are back to Adrian on the patio. She says, "It is really great to be a star.... sometimes...." and we are shown some of her memories in the porn world. She seems to be lamenting the fact that she is in a degrading business as well. There is a somewhat long sex scene shown here before we jump back to the present. We are shown a man drinking. He says, "Ten years in this business, and it never amazes me more than today... how heartless people can be." The chapter abruptly ends but not before we see he is talking to another guy and the Fake Kate. Fake Kate has completely assumed the identity of Kate and her porn actress lifestyle. It is a rather seemingly fluid transition. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2 (CHP2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up to the top of the menu for chapter two, we see Kate in a field with the man in the hat. We don't actually learn his name, but I will call him John for the sake of ease. Kate and John are hiking and playing in the fields on a mountainside, really enjoying themselves. This is the same man we saw in the first video where she was in the white t-shirt. They sit down and John plays his guitar while she stares off into the distance. It is for John that she left the porn world and hired Fake Kate to take her place. As Kate is staring off into space, we see scenes of sex with Kate and other men. These are more memories of Kate. It turns out that she is actually explaining her profession to John. At the end of the sex scenes we see John and Kate talking. John says, "Well hell, I knew that!" Kate seems surprised by this fact. John says that it is because he has seen her movies. "You think that I live in a hole just because I live in the country?" is John's explanation. "Hey, That's your professional life. This is your personal life, right?" "I thought you'd say that" is Kate's response. They share a kiss. We now see a reminder of Kate's foray into porn. She is going down on Adrian, having a lesbian threesome, and doing other various acts. We also see the scene with the drinking guy talking to her and the other guy. She is also having torrid sex with that same other guy in the kitchen then again in a bedroom. She is doing several and various acts of sex throughout. We see Adrian pissed off at something and confront her, before they lock lips. I think this is supposed to reveal that Adrian actually enjoys the sexual objectivity of being a porn star. We see the two men and Fake Kate are actually watching all of this take place on a television set. Adrian being eaten out by another woman ends this scene. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3 (CHP3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The middle picture on the menu indicates the third and final scene. It hilariously starts out with a cameo from acclaimed porn actor Ron Jeremy. He is talking to Kate, saying rather vulgar things and more or less forcing himself on her for the upcoming scene they are shooting. He makes Kate beg to see his penis, which he promptly whips out. She is so fed up by this time she punches him right in the junk and leaves. The director says he will talk to her and Ron Jeremy more or less demands more money. Now we see more random scenes, some are split between Adrian on one side of the screen and Kate on the other. Other women are getting naked as well. We see who I assume is Fake Kate having sex with the man we saw earlier. We also see Kate and Fake Kate having a small discussion on how things are proceeding, though we cannot actually hear what is being said. We also see Kate and John camping in the field. We are shown several shots that we have already seen as well as Fake Kate having sex with the nameless guy. This is mostly to symbolize the reasons Kate left. She fell in love with John at the same time that she began to hate the seedy underbelly of the pornography profession. Fake Kate seems to fit right in, being an actress already and getting to do something new. We see Adrian pissed off talking to Kate. "You can't print that! I'll be hounded day and night! The reporters won't leave me alone!" Kate replies, "You wanted to be a superstar Adrian, so enjoy it. Enjoy it all." This is the revelation that Kate knows how Adrian enjoys being taken advantage of that was eluded to in the previous chapter. We see Kate threatening to go public with the information and essentially burning bridges. Next we see Adrian in a dark room. Another woman can be see on the couch pleasuring herself, but we cannot see her face. She is blonde and has fake breasts, so I assume it is the other girl in the random scenes we just saw. Adrian walks in and picks up a heavy object while the girl is distracted with herself and beats her over the head with it. We see a television go static at this instant, indicating that Adrian killed this mystery girl for whatever reason. It could be because she knew Adrian's feelings as well. We are shown more scenes with bad superimposed graphics, including Kate's failed past relationships with men from the business. We see a jealous boyfriend confront a tattoo artist because she had her shirt down to get a tattoo. After all of this, we see Kate and John standing on a hillside looking out over the meadows. "What's going to happen after the wedding, Kate?" asks John. This is the first mention of Kate's name. Kate replies, "What would you like to have happen?" "I'll tell you what I don't want to have happen: you to go back to your world and me to go back to mine. There'd be too much empty space between us." This is John telling Kate not to go back to porn but to stay with him, especially since they are now getting married. This is the reason for Fake Kate. Kate has a reply, but I simply cannot discern it except for,"...talking about..." I listened to it over one hundred times and cannot make any more of it out. However, John appears happy with her reply and says "Come on, we've got a wedding to plan" as they walk off together. This ends the video. This is Kate's exit from the demeaning life as a porn actress. However, with the girl she hired to stand in for her, she can still benefit financially from the profession. This allows her to spend her time with John. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What is this game? A: Endlessly is a pornographic 'game' made by Vivid Interactive for the 3DO system. It is less of a game and more of a very soft core porn. Q: Is this a bootleg or a homebrew game? A: No. It is a fully licensed title for the 3DO system. Q: Will this work on any model of the 3DO? A: Since it is a fully licensed title, I do not see why it wouldn't. I have only tried it on the Panasonic FZ-1 and do know it to fully work there. Q: How much nudity is there? A: There are a few different women who reveal their breasts. That is all the nudity there is. You do see a couple of shots of butts in thongs, but they are very brief. Q: Who are the actors and actresses in this game? A: Outside of a VERY brief cameo appearance by Ron Jeremy, I do not know. As with all Vivid titles, it seems to be very difficult to find out. I do not have the original cases or manuals for any of these games so I cannot find out if there are credits involved or not. I have not been able to find any manual scans online. If you know who is in this game or any other Vivid title, PLEASE let me know. I am very curious. Q: How does this stack up against other Vivid Interactive titles? A: This is the worst of the worst. There is absolutely no erotic feel to it whatsoever. The story is complete crap and barely there. This rivals Supermodels Go Wild as the worst Vivid title, but at least that one focused on women the whole time. This one does not. Q: Is there lesbian sex in this game? A: Yes, if you could call it sex. There are several shots of women kissing and touching each other. There is even a shot of a woman having her nipples sucked by two women, but it is an extremely short shot (two seconds at most). Q: Are the woman at good looking? A: No, not really. I was happy with the fact that most of the women depicted did not have fake breasts, though some did. There is one very short shot of a ginger haired woman who is not half bad, but she is only shown one time for a couple of seconds. The main girl Kate is not awful, but not great either. She does gain points for having real boobs, though. Q: What are your thoughts on this game? A: Well, first of all, I wouldn't even call it a game. It is more of a video disc with a menu to choose what chapter to watch. It is probably the worst porno in the history of time. Look for my review here on Gamefaqs for in depth thoughts on the game. Q: I live in a region that did not see this game in retail stores. Can I import it and play it? A: Yes, you should be able to. As far as I know, there is no regional lockout on the 3DO and any game from any region can be played on any system. There may be issues with video playback, though, and since this game is ALL video playback, you could very well experience issues. Q: Does this game comply to Section 18 of the United State Code 2257 Record Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement? A: Because this game was produced before July 3rd, 1995 they are not subject to this law. Q: Does Vivid Interactive still produce games today? A: As far as I know, Vivid Interactive is no longer producing anything for any video game system and no current system allows adult only titles to be produced for it. They do, however, produce a number of adult video titles to this day and are considered one of the larger, well known adult entertainment companies. Q: Where can I get a copy of this game? A: If you want this game, you will have to buy it on eBay as it is not for sale in any retail stores. Be aware that this game will cost a lot as it has pretty high value amongst collectors due to it being fairly rare and of an adult subject matter. Expect to pay no less than $40 US. Q: What would you suggest as an alternative adult title for the 3DO? A: In North America, Neurodancer! Journey into the Neuronet is a little bit better because it actually has elements of gaming and makes you work for the nudity. However, the women aren't very attractive. If you have access to Japanese titles, I like the Virtual Cameraman series as they do present quite a bit of a challenge, especially if you can't read a word of Japanese like me. Oneesan to Issho! Janken Paradise is also an interesting title that is essentially strip Rock, Paper, Scissors. It does not require that you have any knowledge of Japanese to play, but you may not get the full experience. It makes you work for the nudity, but not as much as Virtual Cameraman does. Stay away from any of Vivid Interactive's other titles as well as Plumber's Don't Wear Ties. Q: Are there any cheats or codes for this game? A: I do not know of any. If there were, I cannot imagine what they would do, other than possibly show the credits. Q: What other titles did Vivid Interactive produce for the 3DO? A: The other known titles are as follows: Blonde Justice, Immortal Desire, The Coven, Love Bites, Mind Teazzer, Sex, and Supermodels Go Wild. There are also two known preview titles called 'Samplers' which are compilations of the video seen in several of their titles. There are also at least two unreleased titles: Raquel Released and Winner Takes All. This disc has other titles in the preview section, but it does not specify that they are, or, were planned for the 3DO at all. Q: Can I host this guide on my site? A: No. I do not allow anyone to use my guides without expressed, written permission. I do not give permission unless I am asked, specifically, about this guide. I do not like automated e-mails. I will most likely only allow my guide to be hosted on a small website, usually one centered around the game or system my guide is for. For more information, see the Copyright section of this guide, at the bottom. Use of this guide without my permission is considered theft and will be reported to the proper authorities. Q: How do I contact you about this guide? A: E-mail is the best way to do so. My e-mail can be found at the beginning or the end of this guide. Q: What other guides have you done? A: Just simply click on the name Arguro at the very top or the very bottom (orange text in a black box) of this guide and it will take you to my contributor page. From there you can see all the different things I have contributed to Gamefaqs. Q: I really like your guides. Can I donate money to you in support? A: If you really want to, you can send a Pay Pal payment to my e-mail address which is at the top or bottom of this guide. Please understand that any donated money does not mean I will name you in my guide. It also does not mean I will do any special work for you and it certainly does not give you any rights to host this guide or publish it anywhere. I do not want the user to feel obligated to pay me in any means. This is a free guide for personal, private home use. I will not reject your offer to pay me, but I do not want you to feel it is necessary. If you do decide to donate to me, please only donate what amount you are comfortable with, even if it is a single penny. Once a donation is made, it is final and there will be no refunds. This is an odd question and I debated about adding it for a long time, but when I saw other FAQ authors had a similar question, I felt it would be a valid addition. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version History ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1.00 completed June 15, 2010 at 2:14 pm Mountain Time Version included the guide in full, including all sections and the story analysis in full.
