(NEUROINTR) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neurodancer is a video game for the 3DO system. It was made by Pixis Interactive. It has an adults only rating because of nudity. The goal of the game is to steal tele-points and use those points to call girls and watch them remove their clothes. This game is not something for children or those with strong morale objections to nudity or the objectification of women. If you fall into any of those categories, do not read any further and do not buy this game. Neurodancer is a licensed game, as were a handful of other adult only games for the 3DO. The game features three women who reveal their breasts and butts. There is sexual depiction of no more than one girl per scene. Do not expect it to be any good. It contains novelty and shock value only. In terms of game play, it has almost none. It features a look of what the internet was thought to be able to do in the future in terms of pornography. If you want to know more about it, check out my review under the reviews section at Gamefaqs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Girls Bios (NEUROBIO) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jennifer Age: 21 Height: 57 Size: 33-21-32 Weight: 112 Hair: Brown Clothes: White Underwear: White with Pink trim, bikini style panties. Since nothing else has been obtained yet, you must start here. Press the A button to move over to the computer screen and view the message. You will see one of the three girls giving you a message that you do not have enough credits to play with her. After that a guy comes on screen and tells you how to gain free phone credits. This is done by searching junction boxes for probes. After the message is over, move the cursor to the far right. This is the probe launch and retract button. When ever you need more credits, use this to launch the probe to find credits. After launching the probe, you will see a small FMV and then have a first person view inside the probe with your computer keyboard at hand. To move the probe, select the arrow keys and press the A button. Since you can only go forward to start, select the Up key. Almost every time you move once, there will be a junction box either to your left or right. You can tell by a gray wall on either side. You will see the wall on the right after moving forward once. Select the right arrow key to run around then press the up arrow key to move forward. This will take you to the first junction box. Once the box is in front of you, highlight the key that looks like a wrench or claw and press A. Your claw will go forward and the screen will go down. You will want to be quick so only let your probe be in for about 2 seconds. If you are in too long, the police will lock onto your signal and you will loose 400 points. If this happens, you will have to start over at the beginning of the maze. After you tap a box, it cannot be used again so you will have to search for another one. After you have retracted your claw, turn around and go forward. From there turn right and continue down the tunnel. The next box is on your left. Using the claw icon, gain some more points. It is easiest if you gather all your points at the same time, rather than get some, spend them and have to get more. Turn around and go back to the main tunnel. Go forward once again and you will come to a wall. Turn to the left and continue. Going forward once will bring you to another junction box on your right. Turn right and gather your points. Turn around again and continue as you did before. Keep gathering points until you have between 3,000 and 4,000. After you have your points, select the probe icon and return to your computer screen. The most you can get is 6,500 and you won’t even need all of them. After recalling your probe, select the icon that looks like a phone or a backwards C. This will bring up a menu with three options. The only important one is the first one, Neurodancer Inc. This brings up the menu with the three girls to choose from. It doesn’t matter which you choose, but you will have to choose them all eventually. Look at their bios and choose whichever one suits you the best. Select Page to call her. After you page, you will be taken back to the starting screen, with the red icon flashing. When you are ready, select A and you will be shown a video of the girl. She will tell you that you have the credits and it is time to have fun. From here will be taken to the main screen again, but this time the girl will be in the middle dancing. She will dance to some typical porno music and after about 30 seconds she will stop. A little hand icon will come up. You can move it up or down to select which article of clothes she should take off. She will then do a dance as she removes that piece of clothing. Each article will cost you 100 points (calling her costs 100 as well). You can use the right shift button to zoom in on her and left to zoom out. Pressing left or right on the D-pad will bring it all the way out. After each dance, you will be brought back to the normal view also. It works best you remove her clothes evenly. Start with her top, then her bottom, then her bra and finally her panties. After you remove her top and bottom, it costs 100 points to have her dance for about 5 seconds. Her panties cannot be removed before her bra. Sometimes it will charge you 600 points to remove her bra so make sure you gathered up those points. The only way around this seems to be to select her panties before her bar comes off. It’ll cost you 200 to have her do the 5 second dances twice, but it is less than 600. After you remove her bra, if you select it again, she will put it back on and remove it once more, costing you 100 points again. After you get her naked, you move to the TFUI (Touch and Feel User Interface). Even though you just removed her panties, they magically reappear. They will come off if you touch her in the right order. See the bios section for the order to touch her. Here you can select a few different body parts to “touch” A random hand will come from the side of the screen and touch the girl. It is supposed to represent your hand, but it doesn’t look that way. Start with her face and work your way down to her breasts and hips. This won’t cost you any points, so feel free to touch her as much as you want. Sometimes she will grab “your” hand and guide it for you. You can move the hand icon over to the quit button o give your self a better view. If she likes the way you touch her, she will remove her panties for you again. Unfortunately, you will not see anything good and they go right back on when she is done dancing. Selecting the air next to her hips allows you to touch the lower half of her body. If you do I right, it should only cost you about 900 points to get her naked and fully touch her. She will knock your hand away from her panties if you don’t touch her face and breasts first. Once you’ve seen enough, select Quit on the right side and she will put her clothes back on and tell you it was fun. Your hacker friend will come on screen and tell you he was watching and that she was hot. A little creepy, but at least you know you are doing it right. From here you can call another girl immediately or get more points if you don’t have enough (1,600 is a good number to start another girl with). You should have 5600 right now if you collected the max at the beginning. Once you got your points, call another girl in the same fashion as before. You’ll go through the same steps and be told a basically identical introduction from this girl. The acting isn’t the greatest, but what can you expect from the adult movie industry’s rejects? Get this girl naked in the same manner, top, bottom, bra, panties. Remember, she costs 100 to call and another 100 per clothing piece. Also, touch her tom and bottom once before removing her bras so you don’t get charged 600 points. If at any time the dancing is taking too long for you, you can jump ahead and remove her clothing early. The girls don’t like it though and will sometimes charge you more. Once she is naked, she will move over to the TFUI as well and you can touch her as much as you want for free. You should have 4,800 after the second girl. You will be told that you did 2 out of 3 and to come back when you are a man. Now go for the last girl. Again, if you need more points, launch your probe again. Again with this girl, top, bottom, bra, panties. Once this is done you will see the final video of the girl and then the hacker will come on screen telling you that you hacked into all three dancers and you have a future in the business. You should be able to end with around 4,000 points if you maxed out in the beginning. From here, you are pretty much done. Once you see all the girls naked you have done all there is to do. You can view them over and over as many times as you would like though. It will cost you points each time though. If you are done, select the icon under the phone and it will take you to the credits screen. There are some extra videos to watch, but none have any nudity in them, and few have any women at all. If you select the phone icon and then go to messages, there are three messages you can view. The first one is your landlord telling you that you are two months behind on rent and need to pay or date his sister. The second one is from the Netpolice saying that stealing credits is wrong and to report anyone who does. The final one is some guy asking if you are there and then hanging up. These serve absolutely no purpose. Under Online services, you can view four commercials. The first one is for a new probe (which you cannot buy). The second one starts out with a weather guy with a monotone voice saying everything will be exactly like yesterday and the day before and the day before that. In the middle a guy cuts in and shows a video of Neurodancers. There are a couple of quick shots of a woman’s breasts mixed in with two guys standing outside and a hacker at a computer. The third one is for Scissors n Stones which, as far as I can tell, is an advertisement for another one of Pixis’s games. The video quality is poor and it is hard to read the words. The final one is a robot doing aerobics. These also serve no purpose. That’s all you can do in the game. The credits will show what looks to be an outtake with Kim. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frequently asked questions (NEUROFAQ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this section I will answer any questions you may have so that everyone can see them. If you have a question, e-mail it to Arguro AT Hotmail.com and put Neurodancer question as the subject. I’ll get back to you as fast as possible. Q: How much does this game cost? A: I have seen this game go for as much as $50 on eBay. I personally paid $7 at a video game store in late 2005. Expect to pay a lot of money. ***Update!!!*** I bought a second copy in March of 2017 at a game store in Utah for $50 I now own two copies, and I am not sure there are many more out there. This seems to be an exceedingly rare game! Q: What is the maximum amount of points I can obtain at one time? A: 6500 is the most you can have at once. You can always collect more once you spend your points though. Q: Is there a limit to the amount of times you can watch the girls? A: As far as I can tell, there is not. However, the videos of each do not change at all between views so dont expect anything new and exciting. Q: How much nudity is there? A: There are a total of three girls, all who reveal their breasts and butts. The girl Katara shows a little bit of pubic hair. In the intro movie, the girl Kim shows her breasts in full screen. That is all the nudity there is. Q: Is there a map of the junction boxes? A: At this time I do not know of one. I do plan on making one if there is enough interest, but give the date of the system, the obscurity of this game, and the small target audience, I do not anticipate very many people to even read this FAQ, let alone need a map. The tunnel is small enough that most players should not need one. If you want a map, please contact me and I will make one if enough interest is shown. Q: Is there a way to just watch the movies and do nothing else? A: I am not aware of a way, but I would not be surprised if there is. Most FMV games have a code to view all video sequences. If you know how this is done, please send it my way. Q: Is this a bootleg, homebrew or unlicensed game? A: No. This is an actually licensed game by the 3DO company. As far as I know, it should work on all 3DO systems. Q: Does this game comply to Section 18 of the United State Code 2257 Record Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement? A: Because this game was produced before July 3rd, 1995 it is not subject to this law. Q: Is there anyway to just watch the videos and skip all the puzzles? A: I am not aware of a way, but many programmers would put button codes into games to view all full motion video sequences, so it is not impossible that something like this exists for this game. I have not heard of one, though. Q: Can I host this guide on my site? A: No. I do not allow anyone to use my guides without expressed, written permission. I do not give permission unless I am asked, specifically, about this guide. I do not like automated e-mails. I will most likely only allow my guide to be hosted on a small website, usually one centered around the game or system my guide is for. For more information, see the Copyright section of this guide, at the bottom. Use of this guide without my permission is considered theft and will be reported to the proper authorities. Q: How do I contact you about this guide? A: E-mail is the best way to do so. My e-mail can be found at the beginning or the end of this guide, just remember to take the numbers 123 out of it because they do not belong. I keep them there to prevent auto scanning websites from obtaining my e-mail address. Alternatively, you can also contact me via MSN using the same e-mail address or on AIM using the screen name ArguroDeXill. While I am almost always online, I am not always at my computer and it may take as many as 8 hours to get a reply from me. Just be patient if this is the contact method of choice. I am not ignoring you, simply doing something away from the computer. ***Update!!!*** I find it laughable that I included instant messaging as a contact method in my guides. I don't think these services even exist any more. Just e-mail me. Q: What other guides have you done? A: Just simply click on the name Arguro at the very top or the very bottom (orange text in a black box) of this guide and it will take you to my contributor page. From there you can see all the different things I have contributed to Gamefaqs. Q: I really like your guides. Can I donate money to you in support? A: If you really want to, you can send a Pay Pal payment to my e-mail address which is at the top or bottom of this guide. Please understand that any donated money does not mean I will name you in my guide. It also does not mean I will do any special work for you and it certainly does not give you any rights to host this guide or publish it anywhere. I do not want the user to feel obligated to pay me in any means. This is a free guide for personal, private home use. I will not reject your offer to pay me, but I do not want you to feel it is necessary. If you do decide to donate to me, please only donate what amount you are comfortable with, even if it is a single penny. Once a donation is made, it is final and there will be no refunds. This is an odd question and I debated about adding it for a long time, but when I saw other FAQ authors had a similar question, I felt it would be a valid addition. Send me more questions if you have them! Version History (NEUROHIST) The version history documents when I make changes to this guide and what those changes include.
